Using Slack in Workflows

For advanced use cases, you can add Slack as a destination in your workflows. This allows you to:
  • Send to different channels based on form responses
  • Add conditions before sending (e.g., only notify for high-value leads)
  • Combine with other actions like CRM updates or email sends
  • Customize the message with field mapping
Pro tip: Use the workflow builder to create a filter that only sends Slack notifications for submissions that match certain criteria, like leads with “Enterprise” selected as their plan.

Troubleshooting

Channel not appearing in the list? For private channels, open the channel in Slack and type /invite @Orbit AI to add the bot. Once invited, refresh the channel list in Orbit. Public channels should appear automatically.
Messages not being delivered? Check that the integration is still connected in your Integrations page. Try disconnecting and reconnecting if issues persist.
Wrong channel receiving messages? Make sure you’ve selected the correct channel in both the integration settings and the form’s notification settings.
Integration was disconnected? A workspace admin may have revoked the app permissions. Reconnect from the Integrations page to restore access.
