Connect
You need to be a workspace admin.- In the Moltsets app, open API keys and create a key.
- In Orbit, open Settings → Integrations → Moltsets, paste the key and click Connect Moltsets.
- Orbit checks the key with Moltsets and stores it encrypted.
- Choose what to enrich: New records only, New records + my entire CRM (Orbit shows how many contacts and companies still need data, and an estimate of how long your plan takes), or Off for now. Nothing is looked up until you choose; you can change it on the settings page any time.
What gets filled
- Only empty fields are filled. A value someone typed, imported or set through a workflow or the API is never replaced. A value enrichment wrote earlier may be refreshed if nobody has changed it since.
- Calculated, rollup and synced fields are never written, and a value a field’s validation rules refuse is left out.
- Each enriched value is recorded with its source and date: a sparkle next to the field (and in table cells) says “From Moltsets · Oct 31”, and the field’s history shows Enriched by Moltsets. The Enrichment column and filter show each record’s status: Enriched, No data, Queued or Not yet.
- Suggestions: when Moltsets has a different value for a field someone filled, Orbit keeps theirs and shows “Moltsets suggests: VP Sales (was: Sales Manager)” on the record, with Accept and Dismiss. The Has suggestions filter and the bulk bar’s Accept suggestions do it for many records at once. Accepting is recorded as your change.
- Job changes: turn on Spot job changes to re-check enriched contacts every 90 days (or another interval) at your plan’s pace. When someone moves company or changes title, their timeline says so, their owner is notified, and Contact Changed Jobs workflows and the
contact.job_changedwebhook fire. Record Enriched workflows route freshly enriched contacts and companies. - A company with a logo from Moltsets shows it on its page.
Choose the fields
Under What Moltsets fills, untick any field Moltsets shouldn’t fill. All of them are on by default. When records are enriched
- New records: a contact or company created in the app, by a form or booking, through the API, MCP or a workflow is looked up about a minute later. So is a contact whose email or a company whose domain changes.
- Imports and CRM migrations aren’t enriched automatically, so a large migration never uses up your Moltsets plan without you asking. When an import or migration finishes, Orbit offers Enrich the N imported records (also on the Moltsets settings page). It covers every imported record not enriched yet, from every import since you connected Moltsets.
- Your entire CRM: Enrich my entire CRM looks up every contact and company still missing a field (imports included), however many there are, in batches as your Moltsets plan’s limits allow. You see an estimate first (labelled as one), then done / remaining / estimated windows, with Pause, Resume and Stop. When your plan’s five-hour or weekly allowance runs out, it pauses until the window resets (“Paused until 3:40 PM: your Moltsets plan’s limit”) and carries on by itself. Company lookups use Moltsets’ smaller search allowance, so companies can pause while contacts carry on.
- A selection: select contacts or companies in their table (including Select all) and click Enrich in the bulk bar. Up to 25 lookups run straight away with a summary (“Filled 18 · No data 4 · Nothing new 3”); more show an estimate and run at your plan’s pace. The Needs enrichment filter finds records missing those fields that weren’t looked up in the last 30 days, so you can filter, select all and enrich.
- One record: Enrich in a contact’s or company’s header.
- Workflows: the Enrich Record step enriches the run’s contact, its company, or both.
- API and MCP:
POST /api/v1/contacts/{id}/enrichandPOST /api/v1/companies/{id}/enrich, orupdate_contact/update_companywith"enrich": true. See Enrichment.
